From day one, our clients will be treated with dignity and respect. Each client will be involved in an intake process that includes explaining the help that will be provided.

Accommodations. Each client will be given their own room and registered for the many classes she will participate in. A daily schedule of activities will be given to each client and most importantly mother will feel welcomed and loved. We want her to feel like this is her home.

Meals. All the meals for our moms will be prepared in our commercial kitchen. All of the women will dine together. There will be lots of talk about what they are learning and getting to know each other. There will be smiles and lots of laughter too.

Clothes/Supplies. Most of the moms will have a need for clothes. Of course, once the baby is born, her child will have a need for clothes as well. In addition, supplies like diapers, bottles, baby food, etc. will all be provided. Plans include holding multiple “drives” across the state to provide for these daily needs.

Bible Study. Bible studies will be a requirement for all of the mothers in our home. The gospel will be shared regularly and discipleship will be ongoing. The first step in becoming self-sustaining is connecting to Jesus and learning our identity in Christ.

GED. Any of the mothers who did not graduate from high school will have the opportunity to earn their GED. This will help as they leave our facility and enter the job market.

Parenting Skills. Each of our mothers will go through classes to learn parenting skills. Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Life Skills. Our mothers will also go through training on life skills like preparing meals, budgeting finances, running a household, etc.

Job Preparation. Finally, our moms will be taught on how to build a resume, go through an interview and any necessary follow-up so they can locate employment.

Celebration. When a mother and child are ready to leave our home, a great celebration will be held and their picture will be placed on our wall of honor.

… to the day of restoration

There are so many ways you can be part of changing the lives of mothers and their children at Gateway of Hope. Of course, you can give as finances are always needed. You can host a diaper or bottle drive, you can host an event in your community for us to come and share the vision of Gateway of Hope. We invite you to contact us to discuss the many opportunities available. It is only together that we can act as the hands and feet of Jesus. We look forward to hearing from you.
